How to encode WordPress content properly for sharing at Twitter? (Twitter web intents & share)

If you want to create your own Twitter share button at your WordPress blog probably you’d hit an issue related with how content & URL variables are handled which causes some special characters like “&” to break the Twitter web intent/share URL . You have to encode the piece of content that you pass as a variable.
Twitter asks for proper encoding of your variables. You can read more about at Twitter web intents docs.
For the developers this issue is probably easy to solve with some common php functions like urlencode()
Meanwhile, if you’re a WordPress user and if some of titles of your posts involve special characters, you experience a glitch and at Twitter sharing window instead of a correctly typed symbols, you receive encoded characters. Most common case is receiving “%26”s instead of “&”s .
If you’re a wordpress user but not an avid developer, below is my solution that is based on javascript:
<a onclick="var msg='<?php the_title(); ?>';var url='<?php the_permalink(); ?>';var link='https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=' + encodeURIComponent(url) + '&text='+ encodeURIComponent(msg) + '&related=ogomogo&via=ogomogo'; window.open(link);" href="#" title="Twitter">Share on Twitter</a>
You have to insert this into your single.php file or index.php file or wherever you want the Twitter share button to appear inside the Loop.

Minimalist Internet Marketing: ViperChill’s Personal Guide
Nice suggestions by ViperChill at Minimalist Internet Marketing: My Personal Guide…
After all, I’m sure we can all agree there is time we spend on a computer each day that isn’t spent doing relevant tasks. I personally know that I check Tweetdeck, Facebook, and my email inbox far more often than necessary. Over the last few days, I have completely overhauled the way I do business online and setup the system and principles I’m going to share with you today…
It’s worth giving a try these suggestions and implement them in my daily working habits.
Bionic eyes become a reality
Today while I was giving a glance on Engadget, I have find an interesting article: “Bionic lens to debut in the next half-decade”
I have always thought since my childhood that having bionic eyes is pretty intriguing. Any one who have watched 6 million Dollar man would probably think alike.
Dante Cesa of Engadget, the author of the mentioned article that according to Professor James Wolffsohn from Aston University in the United Kingdom imagines that within the next decade, the cure to near- and farsightedness will not only exist, but will actually be within reach. Beyond the concept what makes that this is possible is because they are also working with some opthology companies to commercialize the whole concept.
Without any doubt this is a good news with people with eye problems and for blind people. The possibility of combining the bionic lenses/eyes with other type of computer technologies would also make a great contribution and would yield to new advances for people with eye-problems or for professionals like doctors, pilots who might receive additional information about what they see. The potential is endless and advances in nanotechnology and nanoscale fabrication techniques would make possible the creation of these kind of advanced bionic eyes.
Bionic eyed modern Cyclops would replace all concepts previously appeared on comics or movies like Terminator, Bionic Woman…

Ahşap Bisiklet
Marco Facciola isimli 16 yaşında zanaatkar ruhlu bir eleman tamamı ahşap parçalardan oluşan bir bisiklet üretmiş.

Zincir sisteminin dahi ağaçtan işlendiği bu bisikleti üretmeye dedesinin 2.dünya savaşı hikayeleri sonucunda karar vermiş. (Dedesi Hollanda’da savaş ortamında bisikletlere ahşap tekerlekler yaptıklarını anlatırmış.) Hikayeyi, bisikletin detaylarını ve resimleri kendi yazısında bulabilirsiniz:
