FC Barcelona – Hercules CF, Camp Nou
FC Barcelona is going to play against newcomers Hercules CF in the first match of the La Liga 2010-2011. Today is also the day of Catalonia (la diada de catalunya). I am sure that due to la diada celebrations, good weather and early timing of the match Camp Nou would be nearly packed thanks to grand parents, kids and tourists. I spotted a few Hercules CF fans in the bar next door and they seem to be happy.
Javier Mascherano would make his debut in Camp Nou.
Hercules scored the1st goal. Barça is not organised. Xavi doesn’t play and midfiels misses him. Minute 28.
Half time: Hercules CF leads 1-0 and Barça fans are already murmuring the famous ‘avui patirem’ (today we’ll suffer)
Xavi in for Mascherano and Pedro for Bojan. (min 45)
Lol. Hercules scored their second goal of the evening. 2-0.
Diada celebration of Barça fans resulted to be a clear victory of Hercules CF of Alicante.

Menorca Bàsquet became the first team coming from the Balear islands that will play the ACB (spanish first division basketball league), after leading 3-0 in the semi-finals of the LEB (second division) against León Caja España. They won the last game 69-73. I hope they will be able to stay during a few years in ACB.

Daniel Pancu, versatile midfield player of Besiktas JK, had to replace the goalkeeper Oscar Cordoba who was shown a red card and defended Besiktas JK goal bravely, helping his team triumph against their rivals Fenerbahçe. The final score was 3-4. Although Pancu could not score yesterday, he saved several occasions.
