Sync: BitTorrent’s personal file syncing app

As new cloud services are launched and hosting capacity is no more a feature that would make the difference we’re hearing more about how new products are going to make our data more private and secure at the cloud.

Here is what BitTorrent told to GigaOm about their personal multiplatform file syncing application Sync:

Sync will enable direct synchronization between your machines without any cloud caching. File transfers will be protected via 256 bit AES encryption. There are native apps for Mac OS, Windows and Linux, as well as a native NAS integration.
