so where are the clowns ?

…a reader named …
I am a keen comics‘ fan since childhood and I first heard about this anti-hero while I was living in Paris, thanks to my brother who suggested me to read it ! Probably he was thinking that the similarities between me and Monsieur Jean were evident and this was a manner to show me the light !! … and I saw the light !! 🙂
My appreciation reached to such a level that during a comics’ fair I made a queue in order to get my copy of “Diario de un album” signed ! Here is the proof ! I am the reader named Ogo !
Waiting impatiently to get a signature : Some might take it equal to Beckham frenzy. Beware !! We are talking about Monsieur Jean which is about life and for ones who live it with great seriousness like a squirrel, for example as in the poetry of Nazim Hikmet .
As the tandem Dupuy and Berberian are wise and harmonious enough to reach to 6th volume of Monsieur Jean that they create together, their stories involving a fine observation of daily life, told and drawn with great sense of humour and simplicity, keep the highly contagious aspect of their work.
Last known victim is my cousin, another fan on the way to convert into a Monsieur Jean while he is getting closer to 30 years old club. He is digesting the adventures frame by frame in the parisien geography that he is sharing with our anti-hero , as he starts to see the light. (or could it be the darkness for some !! ) I also applied harsh propaganda methods on a friend, who spent several days with us . He seemed to receive the message ! I am wishing him the best !
The first five volumes of Monsieur Jean were published through Humanoïdes Associés . The latest one, Inventaire avant travaux, is published by Dupuis. My favourite is Les nuits les plus blanches ! As I linked above, from the official page of Dupuy and Berberian , http://www.duber.net/ , you could obtain detailed information on their works that are translated and published in different languages.
You could buy Monsieur Jean books from FNAC.FR
