The snail reappeared suddenly, as it disappeared mysteriously last autumn..

It seems that it didn’t go far and it hibernated somewhere dusty and hairy in the balcony and unfortunately its comeback was more terrible than I could expect. First afternoon it attacked everything green.

Originally from a village near Castellon, it was forced by our neighbours to migrate to Barcelona last year. After a long trip inside a bag full of other snails, the snail managed to escape from the kitchen just a few minutes before they were thrown to boiling water. It became the only survivor among the others.

Our respect towards this heroic and independent spirit made us accept it as a refugee in our balcony, but this year the flower seeds that Barcelona town hall sent deserve tender loving care and the snail will need to leave the territory very soon…

Seagull flying over the bosphorus, Istanbul, Turkey.

This is another photo from cellar.I had taken this one long time ago in istanbul from a boat crossing the Bosphorus. If you realise one of those trips, you can be sure that seagulls will never leave you alone, as there will be dozens following the boat. It is a joy to watch the game between them and people throwing pieces of simit (a very popular and traditional bagel-like turkish pastry) to air. Most of the time seagulls did not even let their share of breakfast got wet and catch the pieces before it is late.

A friendly visitor flying over Barcelona beaches made a stopover on my t-shirt. After refuelling, it took off towards Puerto Olimpico leaving us behind on the beach. (resume of a sunny weekend)
